My First Car - Triumph Spitfire

My story actually begins in 1976 in a convertible car showroom in New Jersey. My dad wanted to surprise my mother with a "weekend" car so she could escape the Ford LTD Lincoln Squire station-wagon she drove each day. He thought the red Alfa Romeo would be the perfect choice....Until I saw the bright green Triumph Spitfire! I thought it was the most adorable car ever! I promised I'd help him wash it every weekend and that they could eventually give it to me when I got my license. I kept that promise and at 19 they gave me my beloved Spitfire. It only had 17,000 miles on it - not because my mother never drove it - but because it constantly broke down and took months to get parts from England! I loved it regardless. |
| I quasi caught him watching YouTube videos and as he quickly closed the computer asked "what are you watching?" Quite red faced he showed me. I was a bit confused....because to me it was a video of a woman trying to start her car, nothing more. But the addiction flourished and these videos were being watched for hours on end....4 straight hours was his longest stint. I consider myself a good sport but I wasn't exactly thrilled with my husband fantasizing about all these different women then having sex with me. I asked him if he wanted me to make him a video? He said no! I could never be a damsel in distress.... Wrong move to tell a Jersey Girl that! The challenge was on. July of 2010. After googling how to disable the Highlander I was ready to film my first YT video. I was actually quite proud of how it turned out. I wasn't sure how he'd feel about me doing this so I became Msveryshy. It never dawned on me that he wouldn't know it was me! He watched it over 30 times and didn't have a clue. A month later I filmed the Topanga Canyon video....I showed a bit more of myself and it's near our home, how could he not recognize his wife? In his own car? Wearing his wedding rings! The day after its debut he showed it to me. I thought I was made! He remarked on the similarities and at first I thought he was playing with me....but he truly didn't know it was me! Next I started to play with him and made my third Highlander video....thinking sooner or later he would figure it out. At that point my fame on YouTube was growing. I could get over a 1000 hits in one night. Virtually every Pedal Pumping site contacted me....One filmmaker stood out as being different. I responded to his email and began communicating. He thought it was great that I wanted to do this for my husband and we made arrangements for me to come film with him. He is regarded in this industry as one of the best, if not the best. More importantly I trusted him. He is one of the nicest people I have come to know in my life and I am blessed to call him my friend. October 2010....His videos of me in crappy old cars hit YouTube and were a huge success. The night before that first video debuted my husband was up at 2am watching my all the YT videos including mine. I was asleep next to him....when he noticed my rings. The light bulb went off over his head! It took him 4 months and over 250 views to figure out it was his wife! |
